Farzana was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and bred in New York City.

She is an evolving social scientist and writer passionate about culture, poetry, travel, public health (disparities, maternal & child health, mental health), social justice, and feminism. She aspires to improve the health of marginalized populations through culturally mindful program management & research.

Currently, Farzana contributes to the Bangladeshi Identity Project, an ongoing anthology of creative expression/stories of Bangladeshis growing up in the West.
